On the occasion of the International Women's Day, Bureau Veritas in Guinea visited two centers. These were the women's empowerment center of BOKE and the Center for solidarity.
Who is the CAF?
The Women's Empowerment Center (CAF) is a structure that aims to support young girls who have not attended school, who have dropped out, and who are mothers and women, with the goal of learning trades to help them integrate into society.
Who is "The center for Solidarity"?
The Center for solidarity welcomes destitute and disabled families.
What was the purpose of Bureau Veritas visit?
The visit to the CAF was the occasion for interesting exchanges on issues such as women's rights in society, empowerment, domestic violence, forced and early marriages and female genital mutilation. At the Center for Solidarity, the beneficiary workshops were visited by the Bureau Veritas team.
The ceremony ended with the handing over of equipment offered by Bureau Veritas to the center. This act was warmly welcomed.
