Kribi Containers Terminal in Cameroon receives the "Green Terminal" label from Bureau Veritas.
Kribi Conteneurs Terminal (KCT) is the concessionaire of the Kribi Deep Water Port's container terminal, which is located in Kribi, Cameroon's southern region.
This distinction was awarded to KCT, a consortium of Cameroonian, French and Chinese shareholders, on the axes of innovation such as the construction of the terminal to the latest international port standards, the treatment of waste with rainwater and dirty water treatment plants, etc.
"This label recognizes Kribi Conteneurs Terminal's efforts to reduce environmental impact through the implementation of environmentally responsible measures. This distinction is more than a privilege; it is a commitment to continue our efforts to reduce the environmental impact of our activities " Kribi Container Terminal's General Manager, Eric Lavenu, stated.
Following an audit by Bureau Veritas, KCT is awarded the Green Terminal label. The audit was conducted based on the eight pillars of the labeling process, which include processes, infrastructure construction in accordance with international standards, waste management, and employee training in environmental best practices.
