I hold a degree in Biochemistry, master’s in business administration and have completed various professional certifications.

In a few words, could you describe your career path?

Commencing my career in 2003 as a Laboratory Analyst at Swiss Pharma Nigeria Ltd (formerly Roche), I rapidly progressed to Quality Assurance Officer and Head of Quality Control Unit. In these roles, I ensured seamless compliance of raw materials, products, and packaging materials with stringent quality and safety standards, bolstering the company's reputation for excellence.

Subsequently, I joined LS Scientific Limited, where I spearheaded the successful setup and commissioning of a state-of-the-art conformity assessment Food laboratory, showcasing my technical expertise and leadership prowess.

In 2021, I assumed the role of Laboratory Manager at Bureau Veritas Nigeria Ltd, overseeing the construction and operationalization of the cutting-edge Quality Assurance Center laboratory. Key accomplishments include:

Establishing the pioneering African Quality Assurance Laboratory; Implementing robust laboratory systems and processes; Leading my team to achieve the prestigious ISO 17025:2017 laboratory accreditation, demonstrating unwavering commitment to exceptional quality and reliability.

Throughout my career, I have consistently delivered results-driven solutions, leveraging my technical acumen and leadership expertise to drive excellence in laboratory management."

How could you describe your position and work at the AQAC Laboratory?

As the Laboratory Manager at Bureau Veritas' African Quality Assurance Center (AQAC), I spearhead the lab's operations, integrating sales, business development, and quality standards compliance.

In my role, I drive strategic leadership by positioning the AQAC Laboratory as Africa's leading Agri value chain testing and certification services provider. This involves fostering business growth through identifying opportunities, building client relationships, and driving sales expansion.

Ensuring efficient laboratory operations is also a key part of my responsibilities. This encompasses quality control, resource management, and staff development, all while maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant regulations and adhering to international standards like ISO 17025.

Nurturing client relationships is another crucial aspect of my work. I build strong partnerships, understanding client needs and delivering tailored solutions that meet their requirements. By leading high-performing teams and motivating laboratory professionals to achieve excellence, I am able to deliver high-quality services that ensure the safety and quality of the Agri supply chain.

Throughout my work, I balance the commercial and technical aspects of the laboratory's operations, ensuring that the AQAC Laboratory remains a trusted and reliable partner for our clients in the Agri industry.
