The Moroccan Exporters Association (ASMEX) has signed an agreement with Bureau Veritas Morocco (BVM) to reduce the risks of its members, improve their performance and support their efforts to innovate to meet the requirements of quality, health and safety, environmental protection and social responsibility.

Through this agreement, the two parties are committed to supporting exporters in their strategy of decarbonization and green growth, strengthening their export competitiveness and improving their environmental performance.

This partnership between Asmex and Bureau Véritas Morocco comes at a time when global, regional and national policies in the fight against climate change are evolving with the emerging risk of new regulations on greenhouse gas emissions. The two parties are establishing a framework for cooperation that will foster synergies and improve coordination.

"ASMEX is proud to count Bureau Veritas Morocco among its partners in order to provide Moroccan exporters with the necessary know-how and expertise to meet the challenge of decarbonization and environmental protection," said Mr. Hassan Sentissi El Idriss, President of Asmex.

Mr. Bruno Pitou, CEO of Bureau Véritas Morocco, said: "With ASMEX, we will establish a support program setting up a certification and labeling process for companies that develop different low-carbon strategies or advocate decarbonized products, to support the emergence of green industrial sectors, create emulation and motivation around this theme and establish a dynamic of actions in a continuous progress.

In concrete terms, this partnership will take the form of a series of support, information and training programs for the development of certification and labeling of ASMEX member companies, on the challenges of the fight against climate change and the evolution of regulations in this area, in addition to the challenges of decarbonization of their products to meet international requirements.
