On the occasion of World Road Safety Day, BV Congo hosted an awareness session with Willis Towers (an insurance broker), the Departmental Directorate of Land Transport, and the Central Accident Office.

The activity drew a total of 70 people from various backgrounds.
The following topics were discussed:

  • administrative procedures that all vehicle owners must follow,
  • responsible driving attitudes,
  • statistics and accident causes,
  • insurers' offers on the Congolese market.

Following an on-the-spot evaluation, ten participants (cab drivers and bus drivers) were chosen to participate in a Bureau Veritas Congo-funded defensive driving course. The speakers as well as the participants expressed their gratitude to Bureau Veritas for this great initiative.
