Bureau Veritas Africa Senior Vice President, Bertrand Martin meets Guinea’s prime minister Amadou Oury Bah and mining leaders to foster partnerships, supporting Guinea’s growth.

Bureau Veritas Guinea recently welcomed Mr Bertrand Martin, Senior Vice President of Bureau Veritas Africa, on a notable visit during which he met with Bureau Veritas local teams and held productive discussions with various stakeholders, including the Ministry of Mining Hon Mr Bouna SYLLA, esteemed clients of Bureau Veritas in Guinea, and Guinea's Prime Minister, Hon. Mr Amadou Oury Bah. The primary goal of these interactions was to reaffirm Bureau Veritas Guinea's commitment to Guinea's economic development and to explore opportunities to increase its contribution to laboratory analysis to support Guinea's growing mining industry. This visit was a significant step toward increasing collaboration between Bureau Veritas Guinea and its mining industry partners.

The partnership between Bureau Veritas Guinea and the Ministry of Mining is aimed to increase the company's involvement in Guinea's economic development. The discussions with Hon Mr Bouna SYLLA and his team were centred on increasing Bureau Veritas Guinea's presence in laboratory analysis services, which will help Guinean mining and exploration companies measure and develop their resources. This ensures that the work is completed safely, efficiently, and accurately, using time-tested and proven techniques. Bureau Veritas Guinea aims to provide innovative solutions and tools that streamline operations, optimize performance, and ensure long-term development in Guinea’s mining sector.

Recognizing the critical role of government services in facilitating trade, Mr Martin also met with Guinea's Prime Minister, Hon Mr Amadou Oury Bah. The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss key strategic initiatives, exchange ideas, and reaffirm Bureau Veritas Guinea's commitment to contributing to Guinea's long-term economic growth. The discussions focused on Bureau Veritas Guinea's commitment to leveraging its range of Government Services & International Trade (GSIT) service offering, to help reduce risk and ensure that commercial transactions are completed satisfactorily.  Bureau Veritas, which combines a global presence with local expertise, supports governments with tasks such as pre- and post-shipment inspection of goods from various sectors.  

Mr Martin concluded his visit by meeting with the local Bureau Veritas team, accompanied by Olivier Onillon, District Chief Executive of Bureau Veritas West Africa, and Aissatou Dialo, Country Chief Executive. In his message to the staff, Mr Martin reiterated Bureau Veritas' commitment to continued investment in Guinea while also emphasizing the importance of working safely as Bureau Veritas continues to assist clients throughout Guinea in achieving sustainable excellence.
